OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma woman has died following an alleged attack by her boyfriend.

On Sept. 3, neighbors say they heard a scream and were met by 40-year-old Tony Wilson.

“He ran out and said, ‘Help me! Help me! Call 911,” Cledith Davis said.

According to a police report, Wilson said he came home to find his girlfriend, 54-year-old Carla Martin, “laying on the bathroom floor bleeding from an unknown spot on her head.”

Officers say he later claimed her injury was “a result of her falling while in the shower.”

However, witnesses and officials didn’t believe his story.

“There was blood everywhere. She was laying on the floor. Blood was on the bed everywhere else besides where she was at,” Davis told KFOR.

Doctors said Martin had “two injuries to the back of her head consistent with being struck by a blunt object.”

According to a court document, a physician said her “brain trauma may be caused by asphyxiation from a pillow.”

On Friday morning, investigators learned that Martin passed away from her injuries.

Officials say Wilson’s booking complaint will be amended to first-degree murder.
