OKLAHOMA CITY  – An Oklahoma City resident is facing charges after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home while she was sleeping.

On Sept. 23, officers were called to a woman’s home along S.W. 40th St. after witnesses spotted someone wearing a blonde wig climbing into their neighbor’s home through an open window.

According to the arrest affidavit, police say they were met by 23-year-old Devon Williams, who claimed to be visiting a friend who was still asleep inside the house.

Officers spoke with the resident, who told police that she didn’t know Williams and had no idea that someone was inside her home while she was asleep.

While walking through the home, the victim claimed that her purse was moved, speakers were unplugged and a game console had been tampered with, according to the affidavit.

Williams was arrested on a complaint of first-degree burglary.
