GARFIELD COUNTY, Okla. –  A young fawn was able to get out of a precarious situation earlier this week, thanks to a helping hand.

According to game wardens for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, an oil field worker spotted a fawn trapped in what appears to be a cattle guard.

Fortunately, the man was able to help the fawn out by slipping straps underneath him and pulling him free.

Game wardens say if you find a wild animal in this type of situation, help if you can.

If you can’t, call the Department of Wildlife.
