“Suspicious package” found at car wash in northwest Oklahoma City was a box of diapers

OKLAHOMA CITY  – A “suspicious package” found at a car wash in northwest Oklahoma City has deemed safe.

Shortly before 9:30 a.m., police were called to reports of a suspicious package found at a car wash near Wilshire and Council.

Authorities say the package was a wooden box with the word “bomb” written on it.

Officials cleared the area until they could determine if the package was safe or not.

When authorities opened the box, they only found diapers inside of it.

The scene has since cleared.
