ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A man is facing kidnapping charges after a mother says he grabbed her daughter and started walking away with the child.

The mother told KOB that she turned her back for a minute, and that’s when 29-year-old Dustin Sherman allegedly grabbed her daughter.

“He was carrying her like he was carrying his own child,” she said. “He was holding her close, you know, trying to hold her really close to him and that bothered me really bad.”

She says she chased after him and wrestled her daughter away from the stranger.

“Then he proceeded to try to touch my arm and he was like, ‘OK, well, I love you girls and I’ll see you later,’ and it creeped me out,” she said.

Sherman was arrested and charged with kidnapping.
