A man who is a registered sex offender in Yolo County sued his victim for $4 million.

YOLO COUNTY, Calif. – As a woman was walking out of a California courthouse, she was stopped in her tracks.

In July, Lang Her pleaded “no contest’ to assault by means of force likely to commit great bodily injury.

A judge sentence him to one year in jail, counseling and he must register as a sex offender for the five years that he is on probation.

Immediately after he was sentenced, the victim was handed a civil lawsuit as she was leaving the courthouse.

According to KRCA, Lang Her filed a civil lawsuit against the victim in the case because of a Facebook post where her family called him a rapist.

Since he was not convicted of rape, Her was seeking $4 million for defamation of character.

On Monday, a judge dismissed the case.
