Oklahomans dealing with flash flooding after heavy rainfall

BILLINGS, Okla. –  Several highways in northern Oklahoma have reopened after flash flooding prompted closures earlier Thursday.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says parts of State Highway 74 and U.S. 60 are again open in Grant County, as is State Highway 15 near Billings in Noble County.

The roads were closed because of high water caused by heavy rainfall in the area.

Meanwhile, the Storm Prediction Center in Norman says severe thunderstorms are possible in Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon and evening, but the greatest risk for tornadoes or damaging winds is north of the state.
