Man arrested in connection to shooting death of Oklahoma City man
OKLAHOMA CITY – After nearly two months, police have arrested a man in connection to a murder in northwest Oklahoma City.
Around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, 39-year-old Billy Edwards, Jr. was shot to death at an apartment complex in the 4600 block N.W. 19th St.
Police said multiple people heard yelling and then gunshots in the parking lot shortly before Edwards was found.
Investigators determined Richard Garrett was responsible for the murder.
On Oct. 7, Garrett was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
