OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly fired several gunshots at another driver during a road rage incident earlier this month.

On Oct. 7, a man called police to say that he was the victim of road rage while driving along northbound I-35, near Shields Blvd.

According to the police report, the victim was driving along I-35 when a tan Chevy SUV began tailgating him.

The victim told officers that he tapped his brakes to get the other driver to back up, and that is when the driver of the SUV began following him, swerving back and forth between lanes and pulled up next to him.

The police report claims that when the pair reached I-35 and S.E. 89th St., the driver of the SUV rolled down his window and started firing at the victim’s truck.

The victim said he “ducked down as far as he could” and continued driving north.

Authorities noted that the victim’s truck had been shot multiple times on the passenger’s side. Officers say the truck’s windows were broken, adding that a round “appeared to have hit the steering wheel and [ricocheted] into the windshield on the driver’s side.”

The alleged suspect is described as a white man in his 20s with short black hair. The victim also said the alleged suspect had multiple moles on his face.

A witness also stopped and reportedly gave police the alleged suspect’s tag information.
