TULSA, Okla. – A Tulsa tattoo shop is facing backlash after posting a controversial picture to Facebook regarding Donald Trump’s lewd and sexually aggressive comments towards women.
Last week, the Washington Post obtained a video in which Donald Trump was recorded on a hot mic talking about trying to have sex with a married woman, saying “when you’re a star, they let you do it.”
Trump was riding in an “Access Hollywood” bus with host Billy Bush, heading to the set of “Days of Our Lives” to talk about Trump’s cameo on the show.
“I moved on her actually, she was down in Palm Beach and I failed, I’ll admit it,” Trump says in the beginning of the video. “I did try to f*** her, she was married … and I moved on her very heavily.”
The recording was made several months after Trump’s wedding with Melania, according to the paper.
“I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture and I told her ‘I’ll show you where you can get some nice furniture,’” Trump is heard saying. “I moved on her like a b****, and I could not get there, and she was married. And all the sudden I see her and she’s got the big phony tits, she’s totally changed her look.”
Trump, who has been heavily criticized during the presidential debates for comments about women, tells Bush, “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”
“And when you’re a star they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
“Whatever you want,” says someone else, possibly Bush.
“Grab them by the p****,” Trump says. “You can do anything.”
In the second presidential debate, Trump was forced to address the controversy that led more than two-dozen high-profile Republicans to withdraw their support.
Trump seemingly dismissed the significance of the vulgar language he was caught on tape using toward women, apologizing for his conduct but repeatedly saying his remarks were just “locker room talk” that did not reflect his real character.
“This was locker room talk,” Trump said. “I’m not proud of it. I apologize to my family; I apologize to the American people. Certainly I’m not proud of it, but this is locker room talk.”
Trump has received massive backlash following the video’s release.
Eyewitness Tattoo and Piercing in Tulsa took to Facebook in an attempt to make light of Trump’s controversial comments.
The shop posted a photo of a man and a woman, who were later confirmed as the owner and his wife, posing for the camera while the man holds the woman’s genitalia, KJRH reports.
The shop posted the photo with the caption, “For Trump!!! Grab a p**** and post!!.”
The post was shared more than 500 times before the shop took it down.
Eyewitness Tattoo and Piercing’s Facebook page has since been flooded with comments about the lewd picture.
The shop’s owner, Cliff James, spoke to a local radio station regarding the post, saying it was meant as a joke.
“I posted that as a kind of a tongue in-cheek poke at people who don’t like what Donald Trump said 11 years ago,” James said. “A bunch of people on the right and left do the exact same thing, but they are a little hypocritical about it. If I would have mentioned grope a stranger, then, yeah, I probably would have deserved everything that’s coming to me. But that’s not the vein it was meant in.
“And, surely, I think people have taken this way out of context, and actually, to be venomous. Obviously they’ve hurt their little feelings seeing sexual assault when nothing was mentioned of it. The only mention of that came from some posters. I’ve never implied that at all. This has gotten itself out of hand. I’m sorry that it’s happened. But this venomous stuff is just unbelievable.”
