YUKON, Okla. - Yukon Tanning members are outraged after their salon closed its doors with no notice.
The Better Business Bureau is investigating and asking current customers to file a complaint with the bureau.
For weeks, customers of Yukon Tanning have not been able to use the services they have already paid for.
Last week, a sign was posted on the door saying a new owner had taken over and the shop would be back in business Wednesday.
Days later, it is still closed.
The previous owner told NewsChannel 4 she sold the business at the beginning of September.
A letter she provided us and Oklahoma Tax Commission records show that is when the new owner took over.
We tried to reach out to him by Facebook and phone, but we have not heard back from him.
“It's frustrating. I'd be upset,” said Jennifer Reed, an employee at Pure Tan.
Pure Tan recently decided to step up and open its doors to those frustrated.
Pure tan is offering a month of free services to active members of Yukon Tanning.
“We felt that it was just the right thing to do. People spend money, and it is expensive to tan and you're left with nothing,” Reed said.
As soon as we hear back from the BBB, we will let you know.
