ARKOMA, Okla. - Three children were killed in an early morning mobile home fire in eastern Oklahoma, police said.

Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, a mobile home in Arkoma, Okla. caught fire.

"I saw the fire starting on the front porch of the trailer," neighbor Rick Deguzman told KFSM. "I immediately rushed upstairs and got my mother. We called 911 dispatch and they connected us to the Arkoma Dispatcher, which then pushed out the call."

Police told KHBS that two adults were inside the home at the time of the fire, but were unable to reach the children due to the heavy smoke.

The children's mother was hospitalized.

Her condition is unknown at this time.

Investigators are still working to determine was caused the fire.

The ages of the children have not been released.
