Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint then assaulted

OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma City taxi cab driver was robbed at gunpoint and then assaulted Sunday morning around 3:30 a.m. in NW Oklahoma City.

This all happened near NW 23rd and N. Ann Arbor Avenue. Initially, this was called in as a shooting, when officers arrived on scene they said the victim believed he was shot but was actually struck with an object during the assault.

Officers confirmed they are searching for two male suspects who left the scene on foot after the robbery. At this time there is no word on the condition of the taxi cab driver.
