“My only thought was please don’t hurt my baby,” mother robbed at gunpoint in Edmond park

EDMOND, Okla. - Edmond police are looking for a man who held a young mother at gunpoint all while carrying her baby boy.

The bruise on her face now serves as a throbbing reminder of what happened Monday morning at Hafer Park.

"Before I couldn't really describe the feeling, but I knew something suspicious was happening," Ziza Malloy, the victim, said.

Malloy and her 15-month-old were leaving the park when the unexpected happened.

"I was looking for my keys and this guy popped up from behind my car with a gun and he told me to unlock my car," Malloy said.

In shock she froze.

“He grabbed my hair like this and banged my face against the side of the car," Malloy told NewsChannel 4.

The stranger got in her car and rummaged through.

"I was like, you know, you can take anything just please don't shoot us, and he didn't really seem interested in my son other than pointing the gun at him, but my only thought was please don't hurt my baby," Malloy said.

She said he grabbed her purse, $5 dollars’ worth of change and her anxiety pills.

"I actually asked if I could have one before he ran off because when I get really bad anxiety attacks I go into a seizure," Malloy said.

The thief denied her request and took off.

Police say the suspect is described as a white man who stands between 5’6" and 5’8".

They say he is around 35 years old, weighs about 180 pounds and has acne scars on his face.

During the crime he was wearing a red baseball cap, black hoodie and torn blue jeans.
