Man arrested after allegedly pushing his way into woman’s home

OKLAHOMA CITY – It was a scary situation for an Oklahoma City grandmother.

On Nov. 22, officers were called to a home in the 16000 block of S. Midwest Blvd. after a woman told dispatchers that a stranger pushed his way into her home.

Authorities say the victim locked herself and her grandchildren in a back bedroom and called police.

When officers arrived, they kicked in the front door and eventually found 50-year-old Todd Baker.

According to the arrest affidavit, Baker seemed disoriented and was in the children’s room of the home.

The victim told police that she had never met Baker, adding that he had just knocked at her door.

When she opened the door, she told officers that he pushed his way inside her home.

The victim told police that Baker told her that he had been in an accident and was being chased by people who wanted to hurt him.

Baker was taken into custody on a count of breaking and entering without intent to commit a crime, and a felony warrant out of Canadian County.
