Alleged armed robbery suspect responsible for Moore schools lock down arrested
MOORE, Okla. – The alleged armed robbery suspect police say is responsible for causing multiple Moore schools to go on lock down earlier this week has been arrested.
On Monday, several Moore schools were placed on lock down following a robbery nearby.
District officials tell NewsChannel 4 that Moore High School, Highland East Junior High, Apple Creek Elementary and Vista Alternative School were all on lock down.
The lock down was a precaution as Moore police searched for a suspect who reportedly robbed a liquor store near 4th and Eastern on Monday morning.
On Tuesday, officials with the Moore Police Department announced that the suspect, 27-year-old Dustin Matthew Lamson, was arrested.
He was booked into the Cleveland County Jail on complaints of robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
