Firefighter hurt while battling Oklahoma house fire

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. – Authorities say six dogs died and a firefighter was injured in a house fire in Sand Springs.

Tulsa television station KJRH reports that the fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at a home on West Fourth Street.

Fire officials say that seven people were inside the home at the time of the blaze but all escaped without injury.

Officials say one firefighter was taken to a Tulsa hospital but was released later Wednesday afternoon.

Officials also told KJRH that six dogs died in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
