Man sentenced to life without parole in deaths of Oklahoma woman, her unborn baby

OKLAHOMA CITY - The man accused of murdering a pregnant metro woman was sentenced to serve two life sentences without parole Friday.

Joseph Cyr is accused of killing Jaymie Adams, who prosecutors said was engaging in prostitution with the help of her husband.

Prosecutors said Cyr met Jaymie for sex in December 2011 and killed her.

Cyr allegedly stabbed the pregnant woman 27 times.

Prosecutors used cell phone records to prove Cyr’s contact with Adams the night of the murder and show his phone was in the same area where her van was found.

In Oct. 2016, a jury convicted Cyr on two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Adams and her unborn baby.

The jury recommended he serve two sentences of life without parole.

Today, a judge agreed with the jury's recommendation.

His two life sentences will run consecutively, a judge ruled.
