Man wanted after allegedly abducting woman from apartment still on the loose
EDMOND, Okla. – Authorities in Edmond are still searching for a man accused of abducting a woman from her apartment earlier this week.
Just past midnight on Tuesday, dispatchers with the Edmond Police Department received a 911 call about a burglary in progress.
Authorities say the woman on the line told dispatchers that a man was trying to break into her apartment.
At one point, she stopped talking to dispatchers but the line was still open.
Officials say they could hear a struggle but could not contact the resident.
When officers arrived, the door to the woman’s apartment had been kicked in and she was nowhere to be found.
Investigators found a sword-type of weapon that was left behind by the alleged suspect.
Later that morning, the woman returned to her apartment and told police that she was taken against her will by her ex-boyfriend.
On Tuesday, officers began searching for 23-year-old Devin Ramon Dar-Khan in relation to the crime.
Dar-Khan is also wanted out of Garfield County for failure to appear on domestic assault and escape from detention warrants.
