Midwest City man facing charge of child abuse after allegedly hitting 14-year-old in the face multiple times

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – A Midwest City man is facing a charge of child abuse after he allegedly hit a 14-year-old in the face multiple times.

On Oct. 10th, Eliot Mitchell, 33, reportedly got into an argument with a 14-year-old relative at his Midwest City home.

During the argument, Mitchell allegedly slapped the teen in the five times, court documents state.

Then, Mitchell drove the teen to a McDonald’s in Sapulpa, Okla. where he dropped the victim off with his grandmother.

During the drive, the victim told police Mitchell punched him approximately 30 times.

Police officers noted the victim had visible injuries to his face, eye and mouth.

When officers questioned Mitchell about the abuse, he allegedly admitted to slapping the victim ten to 20 times in the face.

On Dec. 6th, Mitchell was charged with one felony count of child abuse.
