Oklahoma man killed after losing control of his vehicle on I-40
EL RENO, Okla. – An Oklahoma man was killed after a tragic car accident Tuesday night.
Around 9 p.m., Edsel Leon Pool, 73, was driving his Ford F-150 in the westbound lanes of I-40 near El-Reno when he lost control of his vehicle.
The truck rolled approximately two times before coming to a stop, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report states.
Pool, who troopers believe was not wearing a seat-belt, was ejected 38 feet onto the interstate where he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
His 21-year-old passenger was also injured in the accident.
He was transported to a local hospital with head and internal injuries, but he was not admitted, the report states.
