OKLAHOMA CITY – A pair of local organizations is asking for help to make Christmas bright for families in need.

Sunbeam Family Services and Catholic Charities Oklahoma City are partnering this holiday season to host ‘A Very Giving Christmas.’

The program helps provide presents for 600 families in need.

Participants do volunteer work in the community and receive ‘Santa Bucks’ in return, which they can spend at St. Nick’s Shoppe. Inside the shop, donated toys and other items fill the shelves.

Even though the deadline is close, organizers say they are still in need of donations.

Right now, organizers say they are in need of kids bikes, Legos, helmets and gifts for teenagers. Cash donations are also being accepted.
