Former Oklahoma teacher accused of having sexual contact with student

BRISTOW, Okla. – A former Oklahoma school teacher was arrested this week after he was accused of having sexual contact with a student.

Earlier this week, authorities started investigating allegations that Christopher B. Bivins, a 24-year-old high school teacher in Bristow, was having sexual contact with a student.

After investigating the high school teacher, he was arrested.

He is facing charges of second-degree rape, sexual battery, possession of child pornography, production of child pornography and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

A few hours before Bivins was arrested, officials with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation say he resigned from the Bristow Public School District.
