OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials are investigating multiple small fires in a downtown Oklahoma City building.

The fires were reported around 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Cox Convention Center.

Officials said they were initially dispatched on a smoke investigation and found two fires inside.

One of them was reportedly in a trash can.

A commercial fire alarm was then started to have enough adequate staffing on hand to search the large building.

Around 9 p.m., officials said they were able to stomp out one fire and use a water can on the other.

Reportedly, some companies are now returning to service and no other large fire has been found.
