Oklahoma school district cancels class because of illness
NEWKIRK, Okla. – School officials in one Oklahoma town say students will not be in class on Tuesday due to the spread of the flu.
On Monday, Peckham Public School announced that classes will be cancelled because of the illness.
In fact, the Peckham Public School superintendent tells NewsChannel 4 that about 20 percent of the students and staff have been diagnosed with the flu.
At this point, officials have not said whether or not the district will reopen on Wednesday.
