TULSA, Okla. – An Oklahoma woman was arrested after she allegedly abducted a toddler Thursday morning.

Around 10:14 a.m., deputies with the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office were called to reports of an abduction.

A woman with emergency guardianship of her grandchildren told deputies that the children’s mother, 30-year-old Kristan Riddick, abducted one of the children.

Riddick allegedly kicked in the woman’s door, assaulted her and abducted the toddler.

Authorities were able to track down the woman within a few hours and take her into custody.

The child is reportedly safe, officials say.

Court documents show Riddick’s mother recently filed a protective order against her after she allegedly assaulted her outside of her home.
