Update: Suspect taken into custody following ‘shots fired’ call in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police were able to take a suspect into custody on Wednesday afternoon following a shots fired call.

Around 2 p.m., emergency crews were called to reports of gunshots near N.W. 95th and Walker.

Once on the scene, police say they spotted a man with a gun in the area.

Immediately, they established a perimeter and told people to avoid the area.

Less than 30 minutes later, the alleged suspect was taken into custody.

Officials say the man surrendered peacefully and will be taken to a medical facility for an evaluation.
