President Trump pardons Wishbone and Drumstick

WASHINGTON D.C. – President Donald Trump continued the long-standing tradition and pardoned two turkeys on November 21.

Drumstick and Wishbone will join President Obama’s pardoned turkeys Tater and Tot at Gobbler’s Rest.

During the ceremony, President Trump commented on the fact that he has been trying to undo his former predecessors executive actions.  However, he was informed that he cannot reverse Obama’s most recent pardon of Tater and Tot so they “can rest easy.”

President Trump was joined by First Lady Melania Trump and their son Barron Trump.

The White House Deputy Press Secretary Lindsay Walters posted a poll so Americans were able to cast their vote to decide who should be kept off the chopping block: Drumstick or Wishbone.  “Tall and proud” Drumstick won.
