Thunder Lose By Double Digits In Dallas
After a narrow loss at home to the Detroit Pistons, the Oklahoma City Thunder were back in action for a second contest in as many days. OKC hit the road to face the Mavericks, who came in with the worst record in the West.
It was a back and forth first half for Oklahoma City. The Thunder were up by as many as seven early, then the Mavs went on a mini run to lead by as much as six. However, thanks to a sixteen point quarter from Russell Westbrook, it was a one point game with the home team leading 25-24.
Oklahoma City’s offense sputtered in the second quarter, the Thunder were outscored by the Mavs 27-13 as Dallas opened up a 15 point lead at half.
Despite 28 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists from Westbrook, the Thunder lost to Dallas 97-81.
The loss was their first double digit loss of the season and their sixth straight road loss.
Next, the Thunder will face Orlando on Wednesday.
