OKLAHOMA CITY – Firefighters were called to southeast Oklahoma City on Thursday afternoon following an oil leak.
Shortly before 2 p.m. on Thursday, officials with the Oklahoma City Fire Department say they were called to the area near S.E. 55th St. and High Ave. on an oil spill.
Investigators say oil leaked from an oilfield site and got into a drainage canal nearby.
Firefighters were tasked with containing the oil and keeping it from spreading through the canal.
