Multiple women report rape, attempted rape at OU
NORMAN, Okla. – Police are investigating after multiple women reported being raped or nearly raped within the past few months at the University of Oklahoma.
Recently, a woman reported to OU police officers that she was raped in mid-November.
The woman told police that between midnight and 2:30 a.m. on November 19th, a man raped her while she was intoxicated inside the Couch Center on campus.
According to a report released by police, the suspect has been identified.
However, it is unclear if anyone has been arrested in the case.
On November 26th, a woman reported to OU police that an attempted rape occurred on campus.
She said that a man attempted to force himself on her while she was incapacitated at the Couch center on campus.
Police said that suspect has also been identified.
It is unclear if he has been arrested.
These two reports come nearly two months after another woman said she was raped on campus.
According to the University of Oklahoma Police Department, a woman said she was raped between midnight and 2 a.m. on Sept. 28th.
The woman said an unknown male sexually assaulted her east of the Bizzell Memorial Library.
Although the woman said the rape occurred on Sept. 28th, police say it wasn’t reported until Oct. 11th.
OU police are investigating.
