Sooners and Cowboys Well Represented on Coaches All-Big 12 Teams

Oklahoma earned four individual awards and had 12 players on the first two teams of the All-Big 12 teams released by the league’s coaches on Thursday.

Oklahoma State had nine players on the two teams, and matched OU with six first team selections.

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons.

OU linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo shared Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year honors with Malik Jefferson of Texas.

Sooner linebacker Kenneth Murray shared Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors with Ross Blacklock of TCU.

OU’s Orlando Brown is the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year.

Oklahoma had six second team selections, while OSU had three.
