Sooners Lead Way on AP All-Big 12 Football Team

Oklahoma swept the player of the year honors and led the way with six first team selections when the Associated Press released its All-Big 12 honors on Friday.

OU quarterback Baker Mayfield was named offensive player of the year for the second time in three seasons, while Sooner linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is the defensive player of the year.

Oklahoma had six first team All-Big 12 players, five of those on offense.

Oklahoma State had three first team picks.

On the second team, OU had three and OSU six.
