Oklahoma State quarterback Daxx Garman was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Sept. 29. Garman passed for 370 yards and four touchdowns, plus ran for another score in a 45-35 win over Texas Tech last Thursday night. After a shoot out in the first half, the OU defense made the necessary stops to top Kansas State on the road. The Sooners gave up the fewest rushing yards to an opponent in over four years. OU did have a problem stopping Wildcat receiver Tyler Lockett. Lockett caught three first half touchdowns and a hauled in a school record, 278 receiving yards.
