    She didn’t win Miss USA pageant but she’s getting all the attention for her ‘normal’ body

    BATON ROUGE, La. – She didn’t win the Miss USA 2014 pageant but she is getting all the attention after the show. Miss Indiana, Mekayla Diehl, is being praised for her showing off her”normal” body in the pageant Sunday night. Miss Nevada, Nina Sanchez, was crowned Miss USA. The 25-year-old Diehl did not make the semifinals but she made a legion of new fans.

    Crews work to contain 2-alarm fire near Lake Thunderbird, no injuries reported

     OKLAHOMA CITY – Crews are working to contain a large house fire near S.E. 149th St. and S. Hiwassee Rd. The home between Lake Thunderbird and Lake Stanley Draper caught fire just before 5:30 a.m. Crews said the roof of the 4,000 sq. ft. house was started to collapse as soon as they got inside.     UPDATE 6/5 – Gov. Mary Fallin announced her decision on Common Core Thursday afternoon. Shortly after 4 p.m., Gov. Fallin announced she is passing House Bill 3399.
