    Griffins shut our Barons, even series

    Grand Rapids shut out the Oklahoma City Barons 4-0 in Game 4 of the American Hockey League Western Conference finals on Saturday at the Cox Center, tying the series at two games apiece. OKC had all 39 of their shots stopped by Griffins’ goalie Petr Mrazek. Game 5 of the series is at 4:00 Sunday at the Cox Convention Center.

    Cowboys survive in Louisville

    Oklahoma State scored early and maintained a lead all game to beat Bowling Green 7-3 in the NCAA baseball regional in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday. The win kept the Cowboys’ season alive, as Tanner Krietemeier and Randy McCurry both drove in two runs, while Tyler Nurdin picked up the pitching win.     Storm chaser drives directly into tornado near Union City

    Brandon Sullivan with StormChasingVideo.com was in the field last night along with storm chasers from all over the country. What his storm chase video camera captured is nothing short of surreal. Sullivan’s vehicle drove directly into the path of the El Reno tornado as it went through the Union City area. As you can see from the video, there was another vehicle passing Sullivan’s as the winds were throwing huge chunks of debris all over the road and surrounding area.

    Fifteen deaths confirmed during May 31 tornadoes

    EL RENO, YUKON — Fifteen people were confirmed dead by the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s office Saturday morning as a result of tornadoes tearing through El Reno and South Oklahoma City Friday afternoon and evening. Amy Elliott with the state Medical Examiner’s Office indicated that nine fatalities have been confirmed, including two children and seven adults. The previous overall total was seven deaths.
