OK rings bell in honor of Dr. King
OKLAHOMA CITY — Today is a day of remembrance for the slain civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Here at home a number of services were held where Dr. King's message of equality still rings clearly.
Hundreds gathered at the Oklahoma History Museum this morning to help Lt. Governor Todd Lamb ring Oklahoma’s “Liberty Bell” and remember King's dream.
Organizers say ringing of the bell calls attention to the insensitivity, injustice and inequality that curtail freedom and happiness throughout our society.
