MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — Police have arrested two people in connection to the murder of a pregnant woman. Last month, Jessica Brown was shot and killed inside her Midwest City home.

Investigators arrested her estranged husband, Fabion Brown, 24, and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Emily Matheson, on two counts of conspiracy to commit murder.  Brown and Matheson were taken into custody Monday night.

Police allege they hired Broderic Glover,19, to murder Jessica.

“We arrested Emily. We brought her to the station for questioning. At that point she revealed several elements to the crime that only the perpetrator would know and with that information we arrested Fabion Brown,” Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said.

Investigators are now looking for Glover.

A judge has issued a warrant for his arrest on two counts of murder.

Police say Brown and Matheson paid Glover a small amount of money to kill Jessica Brown.

According to investigators, money was a motive for the murder.

Chief Clabes said Brown had two life insurance policies which would have paid out thousands of dollars.

“Fabion actually called the Oklahoma National Guard at 4 a.m. the morning we found Jessica dead inquiring about her life insurance policy,” Chief Clabes said.

Prior to his arrest, Fabion Brown contacted News Channel 4.

In a brief message, he said, “Midwest City Police have been arresting people in this case, mainly trying to find a way to pin this on me because of the life insurance policy that came up.”

Brown has denied any involvement in Jessica Brown’s murder.

The couple was going through a divorce.

They have two young children together.

Police believe Jessica may have been planning on leaving the state with her kids.
