OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Shalimar Plumley has lived near NW 12th and May Ave. for about two years without a problem. But Monday afternoon, her sense of security was rattled to the core. A neighbor was attacked and sexually assaulted by a stranger.

Plumley said, “I see her all the time in the front yard. I can’t believe this. It’s crazy.”

Not even large dogs or a fence could keep the bold rapist from targeting the 24-year old woman.

MSgt. Gary Knight told us, “He jumped the fence leading into her yard. And obviously that caused her alarm. She turned to go back inside when he grabbed her, forced her inside and sexually assaulted her.”

The assailant fled the area but the victim got a good look at him, which helped police put together a composite sketch.

The suspect is a white male, in his early to mid-20s; about 6 feet tall with a slender build.

Knight said, “He had a very distinctive stain on his teeth. His two front teeth were stained and he smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.”

Oklahoma City police are looking at unsolved rape cases in the area to see if the suspect is responsible for any other attacks.

Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
