EDMOND, Okla. — Two people are dead and another person is injured after a single-vehicle accident near 15th Street and Post Road in Edmond. It happened Thursday evening when the driver of a small Honda SUV was driving westbound on 15th Street, veered into the eastbound lane and rolled several times.

Edmond Police say the wreck is one of the worst accidents they have seen in a long time.

A nearby resident heard the crash and waved down a motorist; they called 911.

Two young men were thrown from the SUV and died at the scene.

A third young man crawled out of the vehicle and was transported to a hospital.

Police believe there were no witnesses and are trying to determine what caused the driver to cross the center line.

The identities of the victims have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
