ADA, Okla. -- Authorities said hundreds of thousands of dollars have been stolen from an Oklahoma couple.

They said there have been 24 illegal transactions that have spanned a number of months.

An Ada firefighter and his wife have been arrested for a spending spree that reached nearly $400,000 and included big purchases like a house and cattle.

Investigators said Holly Hamilton and her husband, Jason, an Ada Firefighter, covered up the paper trail for about a year, nearly hiding money the couple stole from Holly's parents.

The Pontotoc County Sheriff said, in 25 years, this is one of the most intricate cases he's ever seen.

He said the case is far from over expecting additional charges to be filed in the case.
