EDMOND, Okla. -- Edmond police said a mentally-disabled man was held captive inside his home.

They said he lived with his elderly mother and would often wander around the neighborhood.

As a result, police said the man's brother put a chain around his foot.

Police were called to the home after a neighbor found a dog that belonged to the man and his mother.

When the neighbor returned the animal, she noticed the man chained up inside the living room.

The man was taken to the hospital.

The Department of Human Services is investigating the case.
