OKLAHOMA CITY — According to a published report in The Oklahoman, the Oklahoma publisher has announced they will be selling their northeast Oklahoma City building and land.

OPUBCO appears to be selling to American Fidelity Assurance.

Gary Pierson, President and CEO of the Oklahoma Publishing Company, and Trent Moore, President of American Fidelity Property Company, announced the two companies are in contract for the sale of 150 acres of real estate, the 12-story building and manufacturing plant located at Broadway Extension and Britton Road.

OPUBCO is also selling their daycare facility across the street from the business tower.

The publisher reports, “The parties are currently in due diligence and anticipate a closing during the summer months.”

As for where OPUBCO will office after the sale, the newspaper reports company subsidiaries (OPUBCO Communications Group, The Oklahoman and NewsOK.com) will office in five floors of the tower.

The old OPUBCO property will become the new headquarters for American Fidelity Assurance Company.
