NICHOLS HILLS, Okla -- Nichols Hills police are investigating an alarming situation Thursday evening.

Police say a 12-year-old girl was walking home from the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club when a stranger approached in a four-door, red vehicle.

According to the report, the suspect flashed an inappropriate picture of a naked woman at the young victim and then drove off.

The victim is safe.

If arrested, the suspect will face criminal charges.

According to the Nichols Hills Police Chief, detectives are looking into a connection between Thursday's incident and a similar incident from two months ago.

Earlier this year, a suspect attempted to abduct a 9-year-old girl in the area of Drakestone and Stratford.

Nichols Hills Police are working with surrounding police departments to determine if communities have had similar incidents.
