OKLAHOMA CITY -- An armed suspect opens fire into a crowded metro restaurant.

This week Oklahoma City police released surveillance video of the incident.

Unfortunately, you don't get a real good look at the suspect but police hope the public can help them catch the trigger man.

Caught on camera, the victim is attacked by an unnamed male suspect.

"She sits on a bench in front of the restaurant when he rips the glasses off her face and begins assaulting her," Oklahoma City police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said.

Within seconds, people in the restaurant come to the victim's aide and wrestle the suspect away.

"You can see in the video, one or two witnesses did try to pull the suspect off of her. He threatened to beat them up if they helped her," Wardlow said.

With the suspect escorted outside, things escalated.

The suspect grabbed a gun from a car in the parking lot and opened fire.

Several bullet holes can still be seen in the walls.

On the video, those inside fled for cover.

"This is a dangerous situation. Obviously the target was the female but all the innocent people were put in danger, too. So we want to get the suspect identified and arrested," Wardlow said.

The good news, no one was hit by the gunfire and no one suffered any serious injuries.

Police said the victim likely knew the suspect but has not been cooperative with police.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact police.
