Nominate for the World Neighbors Dignity Award

World Neighbors is seeking individuals and groups within the Oklahoma City area who, through their personal and professional efforts, model World Neighbors mission which seeks to inspire people and strengthen communities throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.

“We can change the world if we care enough to get involved with our brothers in programs that respect their dignity, that do not violate their self-respect, that help them stand on their feet and participate in their own development,” Dr. John L. Peters, World Neighbors Founder says.

The World Neighbors & KFOR Dignity Award recognizes those people who invest in the power and potential of others, respecting their dignities and empowering them to greater self-potential – all values shared by World Neighbors.

Each honoree will be presented an award at the World Neighbors Journey Around the World gala on Friday, September 21st, 2012.

Deadline for completed nominee information: July 13th, 2012.


Please help World Neighbors and KFOR identify the individuals, businesses, organizations and students in Oklahoma who promote dignity in the lives of others. The honored organizations and individuals will be featured on KFOR news programming and at a World Neighbors event held at the historic Farmers Market on September 21st, 2012. Each finalist will be recognized and presented with a specially designed Dignity Award at the World Neighbors event. Honorees must be present to receive the award.

Honorees may be recognized in four categories:
Non profit, For Profit, Students and Individuals and/or couples.
