OU removes fire escape after student’s death
NORMAN, Okla. — Monday OU crews removed two fire escapes from Evans Hall where the body of OU student Casey Cooke was found last week.
The Medical Examiner said injuries from a three-story fall were what killed Cooke.
OU said the fire escapes are not necessary for Evans Hall fire evacuation plans.
They are also looking at fire escapes on two other buildings, Carnegie Hall and Monnet Hall.
