OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fans packed the bars and restaurants along the Bricktown Canal to watch the Thunder beat the Miami Heat 105-94 Tuesday night.

Hundreds of fans cheered on the Thunder from Bourbon Street Cafe, Rok Bar and Hooters.

Bourbon Street set up a watch party with big screen televisions so fans could sit out along the canal and watch the game

“It has been electric. I’ve never seen anything like it. It gives you the feel of being in a big city,” organizer Ushindi Spears said.

Spears wanted to put together an outdoor watch party near the corner of Reno and Oklahoma Ave.

He decided it was best to move the party indoors.

Some of the restaurants along the canal were filled to capacity.

Many of the businesses are planning similar watch parties for the upcoming games.

Game 2 of the NBA Finals is Thursday night.
