OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City firefighters are battling a large fire that broke out in a residence renovated into an apartment building.

The structure at NW 32nd and Kentucky appears to contain four apartment units.

The fire broke about 10:00 a.m. Monday in a ground floor apartment.

Initially, there were reports of residents on the second floor trapped by smoke and flames.

As crews extinguished the flames, they discovered the building was actually vacant.

There are no reports of any injuries.
