EDMOND, Okla. -- Are you thinking about adding a four-legged friend to your family? Well, now may be the perfect time to do just that. The Edmond Animal Shelter is over capacity; every cage is full.

They have even resorted to using temporary pop-up cages and foster homes for some cats and dogs.

Folks at the shelter are hoping, by getting the word out, anyone wanting to add a furry friend to their family will stop by.

Casi Sedbrook with Edmond Animal Shelter Welfare said, “If you find an animal that you like, you would fill out adoption application. That takes about 10 minutes.”

Once approved, it costs just $25 and that includes spay or neutering and vaccines.
